- Billing Rate:
Billing is normally based on "time and materials;"
however, for some projects (e.g., training courses) a flat rate
is available. A surcharge also applies to expert testimony.

- Direct Charges: Direct charges such
as postage and shipping, telephone, facsimile and vehicle expenses
are only billed separately if they exceed $25.00 or if out-of-town
travel is required. Otherwise they are assumed included in the
hourly rate. Actual expenses are billed for materials and supplies
specifically requested to be obtained for project work.
- Out of town travel: Actual expenses
for transportation, meals and lodging (for overnight travel) are
billed. Transportation by privately owned vehicle is billed at
the current IRS rate (2008 rate = $.505/mile).
- Payment: Invoices are normally sent
on a monthly basis, and at the end of the project. Payment is
due within 30 days of receipt of my invoice unless we agree otherwise.
- Legal liability: Russell F. Lee’s legal
liability, if any, for damages direct, indirect or consequential
resulting from this work, including the furnishing of any data,
reports, recommendations, conclusions or other written materials,
shall be limited to the amount paid to Russell F. Lee hereunder.
